Ticket FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

I'm a subscriber, how do I renew my season tickets?

Pick up your renewal packet at our subscriber table in the lobby by the last show of the season. You can ask the box office questions, fill out the form, pay, and receive your tickets immediately.

You can also call the box office at 313-577-2972 or boxoffice@wayne.edu.

Can I change my seats in the STAGE?

Absolutely! When you pick up your renewal form, chat with the box office staff about the seating availability to get your favorite seats for every performance!

Is the STUDIO only general admission?

Yes, the STUDIO is general admission and the STAGE is reserved seating. The STUDIO is a black box venue that allows the seating to change for each production. This flexibility allows us to give the audience a whole new feeling and experience! This is also why we cannot do reserved seating in the STUDIO. We appreciate your understanding.

Doors open a half hour before the performance. Be sure to get to the space early to nab your favorite seat!

Can I exchange my tickets?

All ticket sales are final, and we do not offer refunds. Ticket buyers may exchange their tickets for a different date of the same or different production no later than 48 hours before the original performance date. There is a $2 fee per ticket (no fee for season ticket holders). Tickets may only be exchanged for Theatre and Dance productions.

Exchanging your tickets is easy: contact the Box Office at 313-577-2972 or boxoffice@wayne.edu or visit in-person. Please have your tickets in hand at the time of exchange (unless held at will call). Please note that select events or promotions may not be eligible for exchange. All exchanges are subject to availability.

What if the performance is canceled?

In the unlikely event of a canceled performance, ticket holders are offered the option of attending another performance of the same production (pending availability), receiving a refund, or exchanging their ticket for a different performance.

When performances sell out, is there a waiting list line? What is the policy?

Cancellation lines form for sold-out performance events in the Hilberry Gateway lobby. Seats that become available are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
