A large group of dancers and dance faculty from Wayne State travelled to the East Central Regional Conference of ACDFA (American College Dance Festival Association) just before spring break to share dance works and take classes from faculty at colleges and universities from other colleges and universities in the midwest and across the country. This year's festival, hosted by Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI, was March 7th - 10th.

At the conference, both of WSU's dances were selected for inclusion in the Gala Concert, the final event of the weekend. "Rouge", choreographed by Fall 2011 Maggie Allesee Artist in Residence Julie Bour, and "Tactics", a duet choreographed and danced by senior dance majors Mikayla Hendry and Christyn Sherban.
