PLAY: Complexions Contemporary Ballet at Music Hall

Practically a resident company for the Music Hall, Complexions returns to Detroit's longest running performing arts venue for one night only, Saturday, June 22, along with a Summer Dance Intensive produced by Wayne State University. Artistic directors Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson's lifelong appreciation for the artistic and aesthetic appeal of multiculturalism forms the cornerstone of Complexions Contemporary Ballet's singular approach to reinventing dance.

Contemporary dance camp

For two weeks, dancers from all discipline levels and crafts will study dance in the Complexions Detroit Summer Intensive program, hosted by the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance at Wayne State University. The program kicks off Saturday, June 22. A summer intensive student showcase performance is scheduled July 5 at the Music Hall. (print only edition)
