An article, collaboratively written by Profs Mary Anderson and Doug Risner, with PhD Candidate Michael Butterworth, "The Praxis of Teaching Artists in Theatre and Dance: International Perspectives on Preparation, Practice and Professional Identity," was published with the International Journal of Education & the Arts:

The article emerges out of a Research Enhancement Program-funded study of teaching artists that the authors have worked on for the past three years. The findings of the study contributed significantly to the development of Wayne State's new MA program in theatre and dance, Teaching Artistry, which was featured in the fall 2012 issue of WSU's New Science magazine.
