Tour the Theatre and Dance department at Wayne State
The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to offer tour visits of our facilities to students interested in pursuing studies in theatre or dance. Our walking tours expose students to the many facets of theatre and dance education here at Wayne State.
Additional Information about our tours
Please arrive a few minutes early to the Theatre and Dance Main Office located on the third floor of Old Main (Suite 3207), 4841 Cass Avenue. Use the campus map and allow plenty of time to park. The nearest parking lots are Structure 6 and Lot 60. Refer to Visitor Parking for payment information. Street parking is may also be available along Hancock and Cass Ave. Please adhere to all street signage.
During the visit, we will walk through rehearsal rooms, classrooms, performance venues, and more. You are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Family members are welcome.
Warrior For A Day - Shadowing Experience
Interested in knowing what life is like as a Theatre or Dance Major? Become a Warrior For A Day and follow one of our students to their classes or rehearsal. Whether you are interested in acting, musical theatre, stage management, or any area of design, our students are excited to give you a one-on-one experience.
The University also offers campus tours. These tours include general areas of campus where you can learn more about the rest of our beautiful campus (areas that are not part of the theatre and dance department).
