Biography
Tom is a new member of the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, as of June 2024. He is ambitious to assist and support the students, faculty and staff within the Department, the College, and the University!
After graduation from West Bloomfield High School in 2011, Tom was invited to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where he studied the Meisner technique in acting for film & television under the direction of the late Joan See. After completion of the program in NYC, a transfer was necessary to continue an educational adventure to Northern Michigan University. In between semesters, Tom had employment with various entertainment venues in the metro Detroit area, which landed him a job with the Detroit Pistons Basketball Company. After graduation from NMU, Tom was invited to be Mitch Albom's Lead stagehand for the world premiere of Hockey The Musical in the summer of 2016 at the City Theatre in Detroit. Later, he was offered a full-time position with the Pistons and assisted their organization with logistics and facility operations. In the Summer of 2022, an entertainment labor provider (Rock Labor, LLC), brought Tom aboard and he assisted in the company's accounts and travel logistics for their employees as they traveled the country to assist in large scale operations for concerts and events.
With numerous jobs within the local sports and entertainment industry, Tom is more than excited to be back in the fine arts, amongst performers and artists alike, and is looking forward to being an impactful member of Theatre & Dance at Wayne State University.
