WSU offers staged readings of 'Fences'

The Wayne State University Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance will offer staged readings of "Fences" on Saturday. August Wilson's play exploring the African-American experience is set in the 1950s. Readings are at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

"Fences" at Museum

Wayne State University's Department of Theatre and Dance will present a staged reading of August Wilson's Tony award-winning play, "Fences," at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History. A Best Play Tony Award-winner, "Fences" is set in the 1950's as one of Wilson's ten-play Pittsburgh Cycle, exploring race relations and the African-American experience. The free readings will take place at 2 and 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 25.
