Spring Awakening

Written by Frank Wedekind, Adapted by Steven Sater and Music by Duncan Sheik

SPRING AWAKENING is an angsty coming-of-age rock musical based on the 1891 German play by Frank Wedekind. The musical gives a more energetic and modern take with music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. Set in 19th-century Germany, Spring Awakening tells the tale of a group of young teenagers faced with sexual repression and often unjust adults in their lives. These teenagers attempt to walk the difficult road to emotional and physical maturity in the difficult and complex world around them. How will these kids cope with the tragedy that strikes throughout their journey?

(This production contains adult themes and is recommended for mature audiences only.)
