Judd Johnson directs Theatre and Dance at Wayne's "Freedom Players" in "Facing Our Truth: Ten Minute Plays On Trayvon, Race And Privilege"; a piece inspired by the debates and nationwide protests following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the killing of Trayvon Martin. Written by A. Rey Pamatmat, Dan O’Brien, Dominique Morisseau, Mona Mansour, Winter Miller, Marcus Gardley, Tala Manassah, and Quetzal Flores.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Judd Johnson is an Director/Actor/ Professor. stage credits include Equus, Macbeth, Frank Ford in Merry Wives of Windsor, Booth in Topdog Underdog, Titus Andronicus, Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl, Boys Next Door, Our Town and many more. He has been seen in 19 national TV commercials for Apple, Target ad campaign, Southwest Airlines, Toyota, Jiffy Lube, Verizon, Dunkin Doughnuts and more. He was featured on The Steve Harvey Show, Malcolm and Eddie, Moesha, and more. He currently is a lecturing professor at California State University, Bakersfield, and also serves as the social media director for the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) for the past 3 years. He is a company member of the Ophelia's Jump productions Theatre Company in Los Angeles, a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and received his MFA in Acting from the University of Florida.Read more
