Sarah Pearline is a freelance Set and Projection designer and Assistant Professor of Design at WSU’s College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. Her design work spans theatre, dance, industrial, circus, and experimental performance work. Recent favorites include Talley’s Folly and Mornings At Seven with PRTC, Julius Caesar with Titan Theatre Company, and The Firefighter’s Project with CMAP. Prior to coming to Detroit, she lived in New York City and worked with such companies as the Strasberg Theatre, Clubbed Thumb, Experimental Theatre Wing, Richard Foreman, terraNova Productions, Prospect Theatre Company, SoHo Think Tank, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The NYC Fringe Festival, Nickelodeon Networks, The Abingdon Theatre, Hangar Theatre, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, Pace University, LABrynth Theatre Company, and NY Stage and Film. In Michigan, she has had the pleasure of designing for Tipping Point Theatre, Carrie Morris Arts Production and PuppetArt Theatre, Satori Circus and the DIA, The Detroit Public Theatre, and she is a resident artist at Jeff Daniel’s Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC) in Chelsea, MI. Every summer, Sarah runs away with Circus Flora where she has served as resident set and props designer since 2006. She is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama (MFA) and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA).
