Adam McGaw, Freshman Repertory Guest Artist
Residency dates: January 13-18, 2019
Adam McGaw holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in dance from Wayne State University. As a freshman student, Adam's choreography was the recipient of the prestigious Maggie Allesee Copperfoot Award for Choreographic Excellence. In his Junior Year, Adam received the Harriet Berg Endowment for Choreography from Wayne State University's Maggie Allesee Dept. of Theatre & Dance. Adam premiered six choreographic works in his four years at Wayne State University and has shown work twice at the American College Dance Association (ACDA). Adam has had the opportunity to work with Dwight Rhoden, Doug Varone, Julie Bour, Nathan Trice, Sonya Tayeh, Ron Todorowski, Jae Man Joo, and Nicholas Leichter amongst others. Adam has also performed with Ron DeJesus Dance, a Chicago based Company headed by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago veteran, Ron DeJesus. Aside from his work in the concert dance field, Adam is currently a faculty member for The Dance Sessions and ELEVATE-The Dance Experience, as well as teaching and setting choreography at studios throughout the country.
Adam's work as a Guest Artist with the Freshman Repertory will premiere at the Bonstelle Theatre on March 1, 2019 as part of the 90th Annual Spring Dance Concert.Read more
